DINE SURROUNDED BY NATURE
The Grandvalira ski resort is one of Andorra’s biggest attractions as a travel destination. Business tourism, which is increasingly seeking to offer better complementary activities to partners, employees and customers, to be combined with conventions and conferences, places its trust in what is one of the most attractive alpine slopes of Europe. Its six sectors (Canillo, Encamp, El Tarter, Grau Roig, Soldeu and Pas de la Casa) offer slopes that are ideal for skiers with varying levels of experience, as well as numerous sports, adventure and wellness activities.
One of the options on offer the Grandvalira resort is gastronomy, which can be enjoyed after night has fallen. Its restaurants then become a welcoming and special place, where you can recharge after an enjoyable day out. The Vodka Bar can be found in the Grau Roig sector, a magnificent space that was decorated by prestigious interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Right in the heart of the resort, where nature and attractive personality merge, it is the ideal place to sample its wines, Champagne or an excellent vodka alongside a selection of products to snack on. The more gourmet skiers will appreciate its warm atmosphere.
The Iglú Hotel is also located in Grau Roig, built in the style and manner of the unique dwellings of of the Eskimos. Designed to be a real experience at an altitude of 2,350 metres, every year this restaurant is decorated by different artists who use the snow as their raw material. Try the ‘snowfood’ while gazing at the stars in a once-in-a-lifetime environment. The Refugio del Llac de Pessons Restaurant is also located in Grau Roig, with 25 years of experience in preparing high-mountain cuisine. Escudella (traditional stew-soup) and trinxat (mashed potatoes with cabbage and pork meat) could not be missing from its menu, nor could the mountain rice dishes or the best grilled meats with wagyu beef.
A visit to the Arrosseria Pi de Migdia restaurant in the Tarter sector is an absolute must for lovers of mountain cuisine. Its starters combine perfectly with a mouthwatering variety of rice dishes, fresh fish and shellfish or chargrilled meat. At an altitude of 2,100 metres, it is a unique experience complemented by the fantastic views from the terrace. The Roc de les Bruixes restaurant in the Canillo sector is a family-run establishment with rustic décor where traditional Andorran dishes are the highlight of the menu and the excellent stone-cooked meats cannot be missed. The cheese fondue and home-made desserts are other reasons why customers always come back for more. An amazing gastronomic offer so you can take a well-deserved break.
