MW ELECTRICITY MUSEUM

The museum is located in a building dated 1934 which houses the production and control centre that makes a vital contribution to the country’s electrical energy. Here, visitors can see the turbines that generate the electricity in action.

The museum space is divided into two parts, one housing the museum’s permanent exhibition, and the other housing temporary exhibits which focus on different themes. The museum’s permanent exhibition gives a more educational, historical perspective on electricity, and includes an area for interactive educational experiences, where visitors can undertake different experiments.

There is also the mechanical room, where visitors can view three electrical generators in operation at the hydroelectric power station. This space is often used for hosting events.
